CLASSROOM VOLUNTEER

Do you like to play pretend, sing nursery rhymes, dance and fingerpainting?  Then you enjoy working with young children.  Conmigo welcomes you to join our trained teachers in a classroom setting where you will:

-assist with art activities
-set up new center materials for children to explore
-assist with playground activities
-learn or practice your Spanish

Simply download and complete the Volunteer Application Packet (to the right).

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

You must complete the requirements for volunteers from Department of Human Services Licensing Standards for Child Care:
You must be 16 years of age or older (Picture ID required)
You must submit a completed State of Iowa Background Check form (included in the Volunteer Packet)
You must submit a completed Volunteer Packet
You must complete a 45 minute Volunteer Orientation (schedule with Ariadna at 515-242-0225 or at aagostini@herdsm.org )

DES MOINES ART FESTIVAL- VOLUNTEERS

Conmigo invites you to be an art teacher for young children during the festival.

LITERACY EVENT- VOLUNTEER

Prepare materials for children to use:
     Draw or download images for use in activities
     Color, laminate and cut out images
     Sort books by age group
     Set up tables and supplies for events
     Assist children and parents with activities and games
     Practice your Spanish
Volunteer 1, 2, or 3 hours- your choice!
