Position Summary:
Works under the general supervision of the Xochipilli Children's Center Director. Responsible for providing quality educational/socialization programs to children that foster growth and development and comply with organizational policy, funding contracts, state/federal guidelines/regulations, and accreditation standards. Provides leadership to other staff. Rotates through classrooms providing breaks for classroom teachers. Seeking individuals who can manage multiple tasks, use Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and e-mail effectively, and willing to learn new classroom assessment tool.
Position Requirements:
Must pass State of Iowa Background Check
Must pass National Fingerprint Verification Check
Bilingual- English and Spanish
Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and translating
Must be available for year-round program (12 months)
Must be available for FULL-TIME work
Must have reliable transportation
Must have basic computer skills
B.A. in Early Childhood Education preferred or any of the following:
A.A. in Early Childhood Education
CDA
B.A. in Elementary Education
2 or more years experience in child care setting or home provider setting
